Plan to Acheive
Club Development Plan 4 of 4

4. Plan to Acheive

The Plan to Achieve identifies breaks down the objectives detailed in the Plan on a Page club development document and provides detail on how these objectives will be met.

The committee will concentrate on a number of areas at a time, the plan to achieve documents for each objective will be uploaded as and when they are developed, with details of development added to this section.

The five area the committee are currently concentrating on are:

  1. Provide inclusive & diverse rugby opportunities throughout our local community and in schools.
  2. Update 1 (03/10/23): The club are currently working with A&B Active Schools to establish a Club Community Coach in local primary and secondary schools. We hope our Community Coach (Player & Long Term member Douglas King) will be in schools shortly, targeting specific age groups which the club are short on.
  3. Establish female specific rugby opportunities, supporting the growth of the clubs newly established womens & youth section.
  4. Update 1 (03/10/23): The club are planning a relaunch of the womens and girls section shortly. Although we have a few in attendance at training sessions we wish to expand opportunities amongst this section and create more effective pathways.
  5. Develop & support those within the club interested in achieving official rugby qualifications.
  6. Update 1 (03/10/23): The club are progressing well in this area with numbers of qualified coaches, first aiders and referees at the club on the rise significantly.
  7. Maximising the best use of our facilities to generate income, provide for our players and provide community outreach.
  8. Update 1 (03/10/23): The club are sourcing various grants to help maintain and expand on facilities and equipment. One of which to date is the SRU Fast Track grant which will help to renovate all changing room areas and scrum machine.
  9. A vibrant Social Media Presence, with excellent transparency and communications.
  10. Update 1 (03/10/23): Since the start of the year the committee have worked hard to increase the clubs reached across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Threads, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube (@HelensburghRugby)). We are continually learning as we go, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. We believe and at times this has be proven that broadcasting the clubs successes is important with the aim of the club being the number one club within the community. Which in turn will bring new players to us.
  11. More Objective will be added as the committee work through them.

As always if anyone feels they can assist the committee in any area identified within the Plan on a Page document please get in touch.
